Our Women’s Mission Union (WMU) is hosting its annual food drive for the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC (BCHNC). Donations benefit children who often come from traumatic situations of abuse/neglect, many having gone without eating regularly. Your donations keep BCHNC’s shelves stocked and children’s tummies and hearts full. Prayerful support is also requested now and throughout the year for the NC Baptist Children’s Home and the children they minister to.

The following is requested:

• Please give attention to the “Most Needed” items at the beginning of the Needs List.
• Gift cards (Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Food Lion, Lowes, Ingles, Piggly Wiggly) are appreciated for buying perishables and items not received, such as food for children with special dietary needs (diabetes, food allergies, etc.).
• They can use all sizes of canned goods. Some locations prefer #10 cans (family size).
• Please check for expired dates on food. They cannot accept expired items.
• Please help their volunteer truck drivers by packing your items in small, sturdy boxes. This helps with lifting and loading/stacking in the truck.
• Pack similar types of items together. Please do not pack chemicals with food.

Please place your donated items in the box outside the Office door. Donated items may be dropped now through May 22. Church volunteers will make a delivery to JCC on May 23-24.
